A stencil kit means you actually have a paper stencil you lay out, and the simply paint over it. The version is sometimes easier to use than a court marking kit as a court marking kit requires you to make some measurements, mark the lines, and then paint. That said, stencil kits can also be very cumbersome to use. Most stencil kits have a very thin, lightweight paper that can, and frequently does, blow away with even the slightest of breezes. This driveway court marking kit provides you with the instructions and necessary equipment, except for paint, to set up your court. The kit has a paint roller and straight line for the lines. The instruction booklets will provide you with proper measurements, among other things, to help get your basketball court set up correctly. In some cases, customers prefer a stencil court marking kit over this Lifetime kit. The stencil kit is an actual paper stencil that is laid out and then painted over, removing the need to actually measure and mark the lines. Some view this option as easier. Others see it as harder. The latter will say the stencil, which is very thin paper, is difficult to hold in place and do not mind measuring and marking their own lines. Setting up the lines does not have to be difficult, just make sure you know what options are available to you before you order a kit. If you live in a particularly windy area or find working with stencil paper to be difficutl, the 0900 will likely be great for you. If you do not want, or do not trust yourself, to make the lines perfect as aesthetics and the game demand, a stencil kit might be better suited for you.
